I am based in Durban, South Africa. 

When was young I spent much of my time as a lifesaver, surfing and watching motor sport at various racetracks. It was my dream to be able to photograph these sports, but unfortunately, the camera equipment was out of my reach.

In 1969, in Johannesburg, I spent a lot of time at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and began taking track side photos. I subsequently joined the Edenvale Camera club where I learnt a lot about photography which improved my skills as a photographer.

In 1986 I moved to Namibia, then South West Africa, after which I returned to Durban in 1991 and eventually went back to photography in a more serious way. Motor sport and surfing were my initial interests, but subsequently Landscapes, Seascapes, Nature and other interests have crept in and broadened my horizons.

My philosophy is basic, shoot what I like and hope others enjoy it. Photography is about capturing a moment in time that may never be repeated.
